Zavora is a new diving destination about 80 km south of Tofo Beach in Mozambique. There has been hardly any diving activity in Zavora area owing to the remote location and a lack of amenities. This has changed now and Zavora is now ready to accommodate you for a superb and unforgettable diving holiday!
What do you want more? It is very remote, practicaly undived and has the wreck of the Dutch liner "Klipfontein" in its back yard. There is an abundance of Manta Rays, there's a cleaning station at 12m. Humpback Whales rest and congregate in large numbers from june untill october and when possible we go snorkeling with the Humpback Whales! There are different kinds of sharks, Tiger, shark, Bull shark (or Zambezi shark), dusky shark, oceanic black tip shark, just to name a few. There's a large turtle population, including hawksbill, loggerhead and leather back and enormous schoals of game fish and multiple other marine species. You will also do 1 baited shark dive during your diving vacation in Zavora and 1 deep wreck dive. Zavora is about to become a dive destination like neighbouring Tofo Beach. You can easily combine both Zavora and Tofo in one extended diving trip... Manta's and many different sharks species, like Zambezi, Oceanic blacktips, white tips and many more are seen all year. During the summer season, you will see larger numbers of manta rays. You will see manta's while scuba diving at the different cleaning stations.
