PASSPORTS AND VISAS
Clients arriving in South Africa must have at least two blank pages in their passport and the passport must be valid for at least six months. Multiple entry visas, valid for 90 days, are issued upon arrival for most nationalities. Russian and Ukranian nationals are required to obtain visas prior to arrival in South Africa.
You visa for Mozambique will be issued upon arrival in Inhmabane airport and is payable in South African Rand (approx 175 Rand) or USD only (approx 30 USD) You will need to buy South African Rands at Johannesburg airport to pay your visa in Mozambique.

MONEY
All major currencies (Euros, Pounds, Swiss Francs and US Dollars) are easily changed in South Africa (for South African Rand) and Mozambique (for Mozambican Meticais). Travelers Cheques may be cashed easily in South Africa. Travelers cheques are difficult to cash in Mozambique and banks levy fees of up to 20%. All major credit cards are widely accepted in South Africa . In Mozambique , Visa and MasterCard are accepted at some of the larger lodges and restaurants. Cash machines are widely available in South Africa . There is one cash machine, 25km from Tofo in Inhambane (Visa only).
It is recommended to change the equivalent of about 250 EUR for your stay in Mozambique (covers meal, drinks, visa etc..) if need be, more money can be changed through our agent in Tofo.

Phone , fax and e-mail facilities are available in Tofo.
Iif you're booking an safari extension in Kruger National Park in South Africa, then only public phones are available.

ELECTRICITY
Power supply in South Africa and Mozambique is 220v using a three-prong plug. Adapters are necessary for UK and Europe two-prong plugs.

WHAT TO BRING
Day time temperatures in Mozambique are warm year round, very hot in the summer. Winter nights in Mozambique can be cool and a light jumper or jacket may be needed. Winter temperatures in the Kruger National Park can be cold with night time lows of 10C or less and a warm winter coat is recommended.. Spring time temperatures are moderate and warm with summers being, like Mozambique , very hot!

Water temperatures in Mozambique are 22-26C in the winter and 25-29C in the summer. 5mm wetsuits recommended. 3mm shorties can be used in the summer months.
